What is WearIt?
WearIt is a virtual try-on app for iPhone and Android. You share it a photo of any garment — from Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, a shop’s website or your camera roll — and it generates a picture of you wearing that garment, in seconds. You set up your model once with two photos of yourself, and then every try-on uses it.
How does WearIt work?
Three steps. First, find a garment anywhere on your phone and tap Share, then pick WearIt. Second, if more than one item is found in the photo, confirm which one you meant. Third, WearIt puts it on you — then you can save the image, share it, or open the original product page when a link came with the photo.
Is WearIt free?
WearIt is free to try. Download it from the App Store or Google Play, set up your model, and start trying garments on without paying anything.
What photos do I need to set up WearIt?
Two: a selfie and a full-body photo of yourself. That is the model, and you only build it once. You can replace it at any time from Profile.
Which apps does WearIt work with?
Any app with an iOS or Android share sheet. In practice that means Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Safari and Chrome, any online shop, plus your own screenshots and camera photos. WearIt sits in the share sheet rather than asking you to leave the app you are in.
Does WearIt work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, both. WearIt is available on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android.
Is the try-on image a real photo?
No. Every try-on is a generated image, not a photograph — it shows how a garment might look on you, and it is not a measurement, a fit guarantee or a record of anything that happened. Check the seller’s own sizing before you buy.
Does WearIt use my photos to train AI models?
No. WearIt does not use your photos to train AI models, and does not sell your data. Generating a try-on does mean sending your photo to the AI providers WearIt works with — there is no version of the app where that does not happen — and the privacy policy says plainly what each of them receives.
Are my photos private?
Your photos and the looks you generate are private to your account unless you choose to share them. You can delete any of them at any time.
How do I delete my photos or my account?
You can delete individual photos and looks in the app whenever you like. To delete your whole account, email the address on the privacy policy page and it will be removed.
Can I try clothes on someone else?
No. You may only upload photos of yourself, and never a photo of a child. This is the rule the whole product rests on, it is written into the terms, and the app refuses images its checks flag as possibly showing a minor.
Is there an age requirement for WearIt?
Yes. WearIt is for adults — you need to be 18 or older to use it.
Can I buy the clothes I try on?
WearIt does not sell clothes. When the photo you shared came with a product link, the finished try-on carries a View product button that opens the seller’s own page, so you can buy it there.
What is the difference between WearIt and a shop’s own virtual try-on?
A retailer’s try-on only works on that retailer’s own site and only for the items it stocks. WearIt is not tied to a shop: it works from a photo, so it covers anything you can see on your phone — a post on Instagram, a screenshot from a friend, a garment on a site that has no try-on of its own.
