Support
Most things have an answer in the app itself. This page covers what each message means, and what to do when it is not enough.
WearIt has a Help screen built in, under Settings → Help. Start there: it matches the version you are actually running, which this page cannot promise to do. Everything below is for when that has not settled it.
Getting a better try-on
Almost every disappointing result traces back to the full-body photo your model was built from. Every look is generated from that one picture, so it decides how much the results look like you. A close-up of your face is optional and goes only to improving the likeness.
- Your whole body in frame, head to feet.
- Stand straight, facing the camera, arms slightly away from your sides.
- Even light. Avoid strong backlight and hard shadows.
- Close-fitting clothes work best — bulky coats confuse the result.
- A plain wall behind you, and no mirror frame cutting across your body.
You can replace the model whenever you like from Profile, and replacing it does not touch the looks you have already made. Only ever upload photos of yourself — never another person, and never a child.
WearIt could not find clothing in my photo. What now?
WearIt could not pick a garment out of that picture. A closer or cleaner shot usually works — one garment filling most of the frame, without a busy background behind it.
WearIt found several items and asked which one I meant.
That is the garment picker, and it is working as intended. When a photo contains more than one item WearIt asks rather than guessing. Pick the garment you meant and it carries on.
WearIt could not open the page I shared.
The site did not answer, or it is not a page WearIt can read yet. A screenshot of the item works just as well — share the picture instead of the link.
Why does WearIt say I am going a bit fast?
That is a short anti-burst limit, not a cap on your account and not a sign anything is wrong. Waiting a moment is all it needs.
My try-on failed after a few attempts.
WearIt retries a failed generation and stops after a few tries rather than looping. A different photo of the same garment is usually the fix. A try-on that fails costs you nothing — only the ones delivered to you are counted.
Why will WearIt not try on underwear or lingerie?
That is deliberate: WearIt does not put intimate apparel on a personal model. Swimwear and beachwear are fine, so if an ordinary garment was misread as underwear, a different photo of it usually works.
WearIt refused my photo because it might show someone under 18.
WearIt refuses any image its checks suggest may show a minor, and treats "unsure" as "no". Use a photo with only adults in it. WearIt is for adults, 18 and over.
What image files does WearIt accept?
JPEG, PNG and WebP, up to 15 MB each.
WearIt says my model is not ready.
Your model is still building, or there is not one yet. Profile is where you add or replace it. Every try-on is generated from that model, so it has to exist before anything can be tried on.
WearIt says this version of the app is out of date.
Update WearIt from the App Store or Google Play. Older builds are stopped when the server has moved on in a way they cannot handle, so updating is the only fix.
I have run out of try-ons. Can I buy more?
No — there is nothing to buy. WearIt caps how many try-ons it generates while it keeps up with demand, and opens up more as fast as it can. Creating a free account raises the ceiling, and the try-ons you have already used come with you rather than starting over.
A share link I was sent no longer works.
Share links can be switched off by whoever created them, and they also expire on their own. Either one leaves the link showing that it is no longer available.
How do I delete my photo, my looks, or my account?
All three are in the app, under Settings → Privacy and data, and none of them needs an email. Delete my photo removes the photo you uploaded and the studio pictures built from it. Delete all my looks removes every look. Delete my account removes the account. Individual looks and closet items each have their own delete on the item itself.
How do I report an image that should not have been made?
Open the look and use Report this image. It is read by a person. You do not have to wait for that to happen — deleting the look removes it straight away, and deleting your photo removes what everything else is generated from.
Deleting your photo, your looks or your account
All of it is in the app, under Settings → Privacy and data, and none of it needs an email to us. There are three separate decisions — your photo, your looks, and your account — and each is its own button, because they are not the same thing and collapsing them into one would make the mildest of them as frightening as the worst.
Individual looks and closet items have their own delete on the item itself. What the privacy policy says about what is kept, and for how long, applies whether you delete anything or not.
Emailing us
If none of the above covers it, write to us. Two things make a reply much faster, and both are in the app:
- The app version, at the bottom of Settings. The mail composer the app opens fills this in for you.
- The diagnostic reference, also in Settings, which identifies the last request that failed. WearIt never shows you the underlying technical error — that reference is the only thing tying your report to what actually happened on our side, so with it a failure can be looked up directly, and without it we are guessing.
